How to Reset an Android Upon Powering Up

You can reset your Android mobile phone upon powering up with phone’s device keys. When the phone is reset, all of the data stored on the phone is erased, including all ringtones, pictures and music. You will be prompted set up the phone after it powers up.

1. Press and hold the “Power” button on your Android phone until it turns off.

2. Hold the Volume Down button on the right side of the phone. Press the “Power” button once while continuing to hold the Volume Down button.

3. Wait for the phone to begin powering up. Release the Volume Down button when the phone restarts.

4. Press the Volume Down button to highlight “Clear Storage.”

5. Press the “Power” button. Wait for the phone to reset. It will restart and power up when the process is complete.
